I can't drive twenty-five
Yep, thats right folks, Southpoint Dr. is now 25. I didn't think it would ever happen considering it has been one of the few residential streets here in Lexington still boasting the oh-so-rebellious 35 mph speed limit...but I've been proved wrong. Yesterday (Sunday) was a very exciting day jam-packed with plenty of police cars and flashing lights as Lexington's finest made examples of all the criminal housewives smuggling groceries home in their minivans! There was a constant stream of what I would consider to be harmless residents who have probably lived on this street for nearly 30 years getting tickets because the city decided to pull a quick on such a dangerous neighborhood...shame on us for driving our automobiles quicker than bicycles oh fellow Southsiders! With such a police presence in the neighborhood these days you would think they built a Krispy Kreme to accompany all the wonderful new speed zone signs; however, I can assure you that is not the case. With 2 violent murders here in Lexington in less than a span of three weeks you would think all these lazy fat-ass cops could find something better to focus their attention towards on such a beautiful Sunday afternoon.
